Faithless
There’s hardly any band within the dance genre of the past 15 years responsible for such an impact as British sensation FAITHLESS. With hits under their belt like ‘Insomnia’ or ‘God Is A DJ’ spawning from world-class albums like ‘Reverence’ and ‘Sunday 8 PM’, they’ve managed to gain international recognition, defining a new hybrid of dance music with trip hop and trance elements amidst a distinctive vocal style from front man Maxi Jazz. In their 15th year of existence the time came to release their 6th body of work entitled ‘The Dance’ on their new label PIAS Recordings.
That label debut is like a return to the past, always keeping an eye on the modern world. In a way you could compare it to the two-faced god Janus, gazing into past and future at the same time. It is a vast collection of dancy tunes, incorporating trademarks you have come to love and elements you’ve hardly put in context with FAITHLESS before. The band is now eager to share the new set with a big crowd and on 25th November Philipshalle in Düsseldorf will become a dance temple.
