Mike & the Mechanics
MIKE & THE MECHANICS are a British rock band which was founded in 1985. The band is the project of the songwriter and GENESIS guitarist Mike Rutherford. In 2000, singer Paul Young passed away. Till then the band already published five albums and had some hits as for example 'All I Need Is A Miracle' from their first album or 'Word Of Mouth', 'Over My Shoulder' and 'Another Cup Of Coffee' from their second album. After the death of Paul Young the future of MIKE & THE MECHANICS was unclear for a long time.
Now after all they are back again: At the beginning of April 2011 the new album ‘The Road’ was released. And with both new singers, Andrew Roachford and the Canadian Tim Howar, MIKE & THE MECHANICS will come to Germany for seven concerts in June. On the 9th of June 2011 they’ll play at the Tonhalle in Munich.
