Simple Minds
The SIMPLE MINDS are a New Wave and Rock band from Glasgow, which was founded in 1978. Since 1979, the band has sold more than 30 million recordings. With 'Belfast Child', a song which picks out as a central theme the Northern Ireland conflict, they reached place 1 of the single charts in Great Britain. But also with songs as for example ‘Don't You (Forget About Me)' or 'Waterfront', they reached the international breakthrough. Their latest album 'Graffiti Soul' appeared in May 2009.
Currently, the band consists of founding member and singer Jim Kerr, guitarist Charlie Burchill, drummer Mel Gaynor and bassist Eddie Duffy. In this constellation, SIMPLE MINDS will come for six exclusive concerts to Germany in summer. We’ll have the pleasure to welcome the band in Munich on 20th of July, 2011 for a concert at the Tonhalle.
