DARKEND hails from Italy and built themselves quite a reputation on the metal scene pioneering a new genre, Extreme Ritual Metal. With ‘Grand Guignol - Book I’, the band already released its third album. This new album is a pretty good one with great vocals in symbiosis with classical symphony elements, completed perfectly by black metal parts. If you want to compare with other bands, i.e. DIMMU BORGIR comes to mind first.
Conclusion: If you are into symphonic black metal and alike, you should check out this band.
