Six years after world-wide breakthrough with multi-platinum album ‘How to Save a Life’, Alternative rockers THE FRAY release their third album, ‘Scars and Stories’. The album was produced by Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Springsteen, Incubus...) and delivers hymnal Rock-Pop. This album definitely causes mixed feelings, from very euphoric ones to total disappointment. The positive side with the album is definitely lead singer Isaac’s voice with its distinct and unmistakable sound.
Conclusion: At the end, this album is more or less a mediocre mainstream “alternative” album. You need to find out yourself if you like it.
