‘The Man Who Sold Himself’ is already the third album of collaboration between drummer Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree) and multi-instrumentalist, singer and extended range bass player 05Ric. It was released as a 2-disc set featuring the album on CD1 and a 5.1 mix on DVD for full-glory surround experience. The union of the distinctive style of 05Ric with the extraordinary drumming of Gavin surely resulted in a fantastic album, pushing rhythmic and harmonic boundaries. The album is more than just a collection of both artists’ skills.
Conclusion: Convincing album with drum and bass dominance building extraordinary soundscapes.
