‘Celestial Light Beings’ is the second album of DESOLATE, one of the projects of Sven Weisemann, releasing classic-modern music, soundtracks, ambient, dub and house. The new album is dreamy and soft, full of melancholy, moving between Dubstep and ambient. Based on minimalist e-piano and e-cello, his voice comes in softly. The slower tracks on the album remind a lot of movie soundtracks by Max Richter. Another band influenced him is surely MASSIVE ATTACK, being audible in several songs.
Conclusion: Wonderful album with a good sense for mood and atmosphere.
