AUTOPSY is a Death Metal band from the United States, established in 1987. The album ‘The Headless Ritual’ marks their second release after their re-union in 2009. Yet, they sound like in their early days and play a grooving mixture between slow, heavy and fast parts. Melodies are rarely to be heard and the vocals sound very coaxed and brutal. The sound is heavy and brutal, yet not too sterile. Definitely a good album without any unexpected changes or surprises.
Conclusion: Pure Old School Death Metal without any compromises!
