AETERNUS is a Norwegian Black/ Death Metal band, founded in 1993. With ‘...And The Seventh His Soul Detesteth’, the band released their seventh studio record, as is also indicated by the name. They combine elements of traditional Death Metal and Black Metal into their very own mixture. Their sound structures combine slow, heavy and doom-influenced riffs with a lot of groove, good guitar work and harsh, monotonous vocals. Yet, the songs do not repeat themselves and form a very round and coherent album.
Conclusion: An excellent mixture of Black and Death metal, highly recommended!
