Review Flash

CLUTCH started out in 1990 as a hardcore punk band but with a line-up re-shuffle turned into a Stoner/ Blues Rock band. Having been around that long also means there's plenty of albums to their name, with their newest 'Earth Rocker' being their tenth. Having toured with MOTÖRHEAD and THIN LIZZY recently means it's got a faster and harder edge, which may also explain that it looked out if briefly from the underground radar and beamed at mainstream folks. Enough of information flood. Bluesy and hard it is for sure, which is good and fun, yet still it doesn't vary too much, within the Samish vibe you get bit of shine of those old days of punk or bit more plain ol' Rock’n’Roll but it doesn't explore it enough. They like to stick it to the bands that can't pull their material live but selling an album when you don't pull on more strings of interest than just a few makes me think that before you dispense advice to others there is some medicine you should be taking yourself.

Conclusion: Nice but lukewarm, and it won't stick in memory for very long - not too good when there's so much music out there.
