ISKALD is a Norwegian Black Metal band, founded in 2005. With ‘Nedom og Nord’, they released their fourth studio record, following up on ‘The Sun I Carried Alone’ (2011). On their most recent effort, they further develop their pitch-black and ice-cold Black Metal, which also conveys a dark atmosphere and manages to introduce sufficient melodies. Furthermore, the song-writing is demanding without sounding too complex or inaccessible. Thus, also several spins don’t make this album boring.
Conclusion: Ice-cold and harsh Black Metal from Norway – highly recommended!
