Robert Pehrsson is a guitarist, singer and song writer from Sweden who worked with bands such as RUNEMAGICK, THUNDER EXPRESS, DEATH BREATH, DUNDERTÅGET, IMPERIAL STATE ELECTRIC, SLINGBLADE and also DAGGER. He started his career very early in his life (around 88/89) at first concentrating on playing death and thrash metal. Nowadays Pehrsson mainly plays rock music with a very classic edge to it. 2013 saw his self-titled debut ‘Robert Pehrsson's Humbucker’. To prerecord a tiny bit, Robert Pehrsson is a very talented musician (that said I mean on guitar and as a singer). Listening to the material I must admit it is awesome. If THIN LIZZY and THE HELLACOPTERS would have a baby their lovechild`s name would be ROBERT PEHRSSON`S HUMBUCKER. The overall sound of this record is making me very happy because it unites THE HELLACOPTERS high energy garage rock with the sex appeal and charm of acts like THIN LIZZY or BLUE OYSTER CULT. This is the kind of music that makes you want to drink and dance and take chances with the most beautiful girl in the Club.
Conclusion: Just listen to this record if you like one of the bands I mentioned. At High Roller Records this band is in very good hands, I can`t wait to see them on tour.
