Formed in 2009, the Stoner / Sludge band PLÖW has played many, many gigs till today. After four years of hard work the band finally released their debut in 2013. Before that they released an EP in 2010 and one in 2011. The band`s sound is heavy, riff laden and at times leaden and hazy. This is definitely the last sludge record I review EVER! Just doomy, tuned down heavy music is not enough to keep me satisfied. PLÖW is not a bad band but vocalist Rune and he is not able to do anything I expect from a singer (melody, control of voice etc.). He just bellows and barks through the songs like he doesn`t care about his job on the microphone.
Conclusion: I sincerely don`t know if this guy can`t do better or just doesn`t want to… if these guys add another vocalist to their line-up I will be happy to review their next record…
