DESPISING AGE is a Death Metal band that was formed in a year that, according to Nostradamus, should have included the end of the world and if you listen to these guys, you know they would be up to the task of making the soundtrack to the Apocalypse. The four-piece from Switzerland is clearly not making music for a romantic dance on prom night, there is a lot of anger and hate made audible on this record but this is not for the faint of heart. David Pizzuti’s vocals defy gods design of human vocal cords, so fierce and hateful and inhuman sounding that it wonders me that he is able to still talk. Alessandro Caruso’s drums too are worth mentioning, his speed and stamina is awe inspiring. That being said this kind of Death Metal does nothing for me as I really do love melodic music with a vocalist that actually sings instead of trying to shatter my intestines with his raw vocal power. Fascinating but not up my Alley.
