Me and my readers are no stranger to Lisa Mann aka WHITE CRONE, back in February 2020 I did a review on Lisa’s first Heavy Metal record ‘The Poisoner’. Her first record basically turned out to be a heartfelt love letter and tribute to the Rock and Metal demi-gods of IRON MAIDEN, MERCYFUL FATE and MANOWAR and this cover of RAINBOW’s ‘Stargazer’ is no exception to that formula. This is Lisa’s very own version of the song that was voted for best Rock / Metal song by the RockHard Magazine a few years ago. DIO is a vocalist that can never be replaced and his work cannot be performed any better than he already did, BUT! Lisa’s natural vibrato and timbre is quite similar to Ronnie James’ and that is no flattery but a statement based on what I know about music and technique (not that much but hey ^^). If this got you hooked check it out and support Lisa, she is a kick-ass musician and a very nice lady.
Conclusion: For fans of mentioned bands and, of course, BLACK SABBATH!
