Die Fantastischen Vier - Strandkorb Open Air 2021
A “sunny day” in Mönchengladbach and the Sparkassenpark with the beach chairs is the best place for fantastic music. Two days in a row, DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER visited this location again to present perfect German Hip-Hop. Anyone who hears the name of the band DIE FANTASTISCHEN VIER outside of the German-speaking area directly thinks of superheroes. But the FANTA4, called by the beloved fans, are the most successful Hip-Hop group in Germany, founded 1989 in Stuttgart / Germany by Smudo (Michael Bernd Schmidt), Thomas D. (Thomas Dürr), Dee Jot Hausmarke (Michi Beck) and the man behind the turntables, And.Ypsilon (Andreas Rieke).

Konzertsommer im Revier: Faderhead - 15 years show - Support: Scheuber
I do not overestimate when I say that I was really excited for this. The last concert before the first lockdown for me happened to be the FADERHEAD show in Mannheim in March 2020 that was supposed to be the kick-off for the “Asteria” tour - and became so far, the only gig of this tour that didn’t happen until now. However, this gig in Gelsenkirchen - as part of the “Konzertsommer im Revier” organized by Pluswelt Promotion and Kulttempel Oberhausen - was meant to be a special: 15 years anniversary for FADERHEAD! Almost to the day 15 years ago Sami played his very first live show at Dark Dance Treffen in Lahr (Germany).

Element Of Crime - Strandkorb Open Air 2021
On this day the weather report forecasted a lot of rain. Not really a good situation for an open-air live concert. But before the German band ELEMENT OF CRIME started their concert, they promised that they drive away the rain.

Konzertsommer im Revier: Unzucht & Schattenmann
It’s been a long, silent lockdown winter, but when Kulttempel Oberhausen & Pluswelt Promotion announced that they are planning another batch of summer concerts in collaboration with the Circus Probst in Gelsenkirchen, some hope for a return of live shows rose on the horizon. Just the weekend before the circus venue was finally filled with live music again - THE DARK TENOR & FROZEN PLASMA opened the first concert weekend of 2021 in Gelsenkirchen. Just a week later I got on a train to get to Gelsenkirchen again - first time since October 2020. Looking forward to tons of energy, hard guitars, talented musicians and a crowd that is hopefully ready to celebrate.

Rome Burns and Stella Wembley
Back to concert business. ROME BURNS played in Leeds, UK, on July 3rd, 2021. They were supported by newcomer STELLA WEMBLEY. It was great to be back in a real club with a real concert after long months of nothing… This was a Covid socially distanced event though, seated only. The UK public seems to be very cautious upon the return to more freedom, however the limited capacity was sold out tonight.
