Backstage, Munich, Germany
13th October 2019
Wednesday 13 & SOiL
Due to the incredible traffic on this sunny October Sunday, I needed over three hours for the 100km to Munich and missed DOPE but arrived just in time for SOIL and since the evening started early at 18:30 and would last a long time with four bands being on stage and I had to go back all the way to be in office early the next day, I had to leave before STATIC-X went on stage. WEDNESDAY 13 haunted Munich accompanying STATIC-X on their tour honouring Wayne Static, together with DOPE and SOIL. After listening to WEDNESDAY 13’s new album ‘Necrophaze’ and having a very interesting interview with him, it was time to hear the Duke of Spookiness and his band live.

Diary Of Dreams - “Hell in Eden” Tour 2019 - Support: Us
The first, more extended part of the “Hell in Eden” happened to be already two years ago when the album was released on 6th October 2017. Due to different reasons it was not possible for me to attend more than one show back then while I was totally in love with the new album and so the announcement of this mini tour with three dates in mid-October was a perfect chance to fix that and go for another journey into the dark with DIARY OF DREAMS.

The Sisters Of Mercy & Support: A.A. Williams
It’s been a while since I saw THE SISTERS OF MERCY live and the gig had been sold-out for months when I arrived at the Tonhalle. The venue is known for being difficult coming to the sound and I hoped the sound engineer would know and avoid the traps of this venue. Since live guitarist Chris Catalyst announced that he would not join the band on the road this summer, I was curious how Dylan Smith would fit in. Everyone was dressed in black and the average age was mid-thirties to fifty, the venue was packed to the roof and it was incredibly hot.

The Rasmus - “Play Dead Letters” Tour 2019
It was a wet autumn evening when a predominantly female queue formed in front of the Rockhal. But the demographic distribution was very varied: from children to older couples everything was there on that Saturday night. The reason? The Finnish band THE RASMUS, who presented their latest album ‘Dark Matter’ live last year. Their career has been going on for 25 years now and that could be also a reason to celebrate, but the upcoming party had a different motto. 15 years ago ‘Dead Letters’ was released and this album gave THE RASMUS their international breakthrough, including the world hit ‘In The Shadows’.
