Soon ready for take off is the third KASABIAN album ‘West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum’ that is going to touch down in German stores on 5th June 2009. For appetizing purposes the band has just released the new single ‘Underdog’ that gets straight to the point with flashing , distorted guitars and an elaborate drum section that sounds to me as if some electronics have been weaved in there as well. Tom Meighan’s well-sounding vocal delivery completes the package. I admit I haven’t heard anything of the band in the past but this tune is a nice treat that makes me curious about how the rest of their material might sound like. A definitive recommendation for fans of well-crafted Indie Rock!
