Gothic meets Klassik Day 2: Staubkind, Blutengel, VNV Nation
Thus the second day of this small but very special festival dawned. The day before had not disappeared from the memory and still cared for small shivers and the anticipation of the coming event increased only unbearable. So the fans gathered in front of the Gewandhaus with great anticipation and they could almost feel this unbearable tension. I should mention that most of the fans were dressed appropriately for this occasion and they contributed therefore to a wonderful atmosphere of this unique evening.
The doors opened at 18’o clock and we could enter after a very short time for waiting the impressive foyer. I should also mention the ushers and remaining staff from the Gewandhaus. They ensured a smooth flow for this evening with their friendly, competent and confident manner, the staff contributed significantly to the fact that the fans could enjoy this event to the fullest. At halt past six the doors to the hall opened which was not the most architecturally beautiful but it’s considerably much better for the acoustics. The courteous ushers always helped with a smile to get your way through the maze of rows and chairs. Just after waiting the remaining minutes the orchestra entered the stage and provided a furious start with their opening under the guidance from the director.

Europe & Stone Rider
Half a year after the release of ‘Bag Of Bones’, EUROPE came to Germany to present the album live. “It should become a very original, classical rock record“, says EUROPE. The reason: They “have grown up with Led zeppelin, Deep Purple, UFO, Thin Lizzy and similar acts”, explains the band’s front man Joey Tempest. To reach such a sound they laid the songs in the hands of Kevin Shirley. EUROPE never sounded better said Eclipsed. Hard Rock with blues elements and top class acoustic guitars. Joey Tempest voice is better than ever. Europe are regular visitors in Bochum as headliner or as opener for GOTTHARD for example. The Matrix was full of people who couldn't wait to rock the night.

Haus Auensee, Leipzig, Germany
10th to 11th November 2012
Gothic meets Klassik Day 1: Chrom, Rabia Sorda, Staubkind, Blutengel, VNV Nation
Leipzig became the Mecca for Gothic fans once again, an absolutely wonderful and ingenious idea has sprung from the creative minds which seeks its equal in festival history. Gothic meets Klassik, a wonderful festival spans two days and two different venues.
The first location is Haus Auensee, a well known location for everybody who has visited the Wave Gothic Treffen WGT. This building is a much-used concert hall within Leipzig with a capacity of about 2,500 people. This capacity was fully utilized on this evening. On Sunday three bands from Saturday, STAUBKIND, BLUTENGEL and VNV Nation, would combine their musical arts with a symphony orchestra at the Gewandhaus on Augustusplatz. Take a look if you are interested in the history and background of this individual location. I started my Saturday actually pretty good until I got finally stuck in the traffic with my car. On this basis I appeared late for this concert. CHROM the first band on this evening already played and the hall was crowded by now so you couldn’t set a foot in front of the other.
