Alex Kelly
Alex Kelly is an American singer/songwriter born in Queens New York. Formerly the lead singer of Robby Takacs' (Goo Goo Dolls) Amungus. the ferociously creative artist released her debut album ‘Orange Circle’ on June 1st. To expand on her sound, Alex collaborated with pILLOW tHEORY's Kelsey Warren and engineer Justin Rose of GCR Audio. Following, she tells a bit more about her work.

Dero & Flux from Oomph!
On 18th May, the 11. album ‘Des Wahnsinns fette Beute’ by OOMPH! was released. Since about eight years the release of every album is a little scandal among the fans. Everybody’s waiting for something. But in the middle on their musical carrier the band started surprise and disappoint its fans. In just one moment their CDs became a pearl of the pop-rock shelves in musical shops, in stead of Industrial/EBM section. And even if it happened already in the end of 90-s, some fans still remember and waiting for the “old kind” OOMPH!

It’s inevitable that they’re broadly judged with a sense of finality and retrospection, and all too often prompt musings on the context of their recording and what might have been. That both of Joey Ramone’s solo albums have emerged after his death is perhaps telling, not least of all where ‘Ya Know?’ is concerned. It is, after all, eleven years since the punk legend passed away, aged just 49. Why so long? Maybe Joey’s brother Mickey Leigh has the answer…

On 18th May, the new solo album of Peter Heppner (ex-WOLFSHEIM) appeared. This long awaited release is called ‘My Heart of Stone’. There is a wide diversity of themes on the album from children’s song to the song of a drug dealer.
