Calling the new Agonoize-album apocalyptic is almost a mild description for the Berlin-based lads' latest inferno of hard beats, brutal shouts and thudding bass. But Agonoize would not be Agonoize if they had not embedded a plethora of addictive hooklines and subversively catchy melodies into the core of all this mayhem. And the is not the only thing music that hits the listener square in the face like a fist, as the sonic terrorists are happily delving into all the dark sides of humanity on the lyrical side, as well. This includes vicious attacks on gentrification and selling out (in their native language of German... while at the same time taking a clear stance as to which end of the political spectrum they belong to, for anyone who cares to actually listen to the lyrics), wannabe hools with martial poses, the church and religious fanatics, as well as forays into all those nasty elements lurking under the surface of civilized society that the tabloids love to exploit, all infused with the band's special brand of pitch-black, tongue-in-cheek, humor.

Zola Jesus has announced details of a brand new album, Taiga, out on 6/7 October 2014. Mute is proud to welcome Zola Jesus to our worldwide roster. Nika is the sole singer and songwriter behind Zola Jesus’ many creative incarnations. Written on Vashon Island, WA and co-produced in Los Angeles, CA by Dean Hurley, Taiga follows the widely celebrated albums, Versions (2013) and Conatus (2011). The wait is over. "Back To The Front", the highly anticipated album of ENTOMBED A.D., is going to be released on August 4th. But not only that! Following the release of the album, the legendary Stockholm death metal commando will team up with their label mates GRAVE who will be main support on their extensive European tour. Death metal fans of the old world, beware! Autumn's gonna be deadly.

ENTOMBED A.D. were formed in 1987 (as NIHILIST) and released three demos, before the band's groundbreaking debut album "Left Hand Path" was released in 1990. Originally, GRAVE come from the island of Gotland and started out in 1986 as CORPSE, releasing various demos and have been successfully stirring up the extreme metal scene since the late 80s. GRAVE's debut album "Into The Grave" (1991) belongs to the huge, immortal classic albums of Swedish death metal. Both ENTOMBED A.D. and GRAVE remain essential forces at the spearhead of the worldwide death metal movement to the very day and doubtlessly have earned their place amongst the most influential death metal bands of all times.
