German epic metal heroes EQUILIBRIUM are currently working on the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2010 album, “Rekreatur”. In few days, the guys will enter the Helion Studios Munich to kick off the recordings with guitar player and producer René Berthiaume. The band states: “The songs are written, 13 tracks are planned for the album. We can hardly wait to finally release another full-length record after four years! In the past we’ve written a lot, so that the record will be very varying. With some songs we return to our roots, others will be a sonic surprise. Next week Robse will hit the studio to record vocals and to give the songs life. Furthermore there are some other things planned for Equi this year, you can really look forward to!” The untitled album will be released this summer via Nuclear Blast.Source: Press Release

German Metal Icon Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O.) signs a long-term contract with AFM Records. The new deal includes the release of 3 albums plus 3 dvds. "We feel very comfortable with AFM Records and we appreciate the good vibes" says Udo Dirkschneider. "The mutual understanding is perfect and our individual wishes and ideas are respected and converted. This is obviously hard to find in the music business nowadays". In honor of her 30 years stage jubilee, internationally successful rock singer DORO PESCH will celebrate with fans from all over the world and two separate yet unique shows on May 02: the "Classic Night" with Orchestra, and May 03: the "Rock Night" with many guests, at CCD Stadthalle of her hometown Düsseldorf. Just in time for the celebration, there will be an anniversary record of the rock queen.
