Be radical!” This call to arms, as propagated in the song “Radikal” can be seen as programmatic for the entire new Pankow-album “And Shun The Cure They Most Desire”, the group’s first long player in more than five years, which sees them reunited with original vocalist and non-conformist Alex Spalck who lends his voice to three songs (next to new singer Bram Declercq) and wrote all the lyrics. The sonic anarchists headed by Maurizio (FM) Fasolo have again set out to defy genre conventions by conjuring up a Molotov cocktail of EBM, Industrial, Pop, Minimal and Baroque fragments plus a wild cornucopia of sounds, beats and the unbridled fondness for experimentation. It's out! French modern-metal act Under the Abyss has just unleashed the worldwide reissue of its debut full-length album, "A wavering path", initially released for Christmas 2011, and available on its own webstore. After releasing two EPs, "Dawn of everything" in 2006 and "Awaken by hate" two years later, UTA toured on the Brittany scene before to perform at many venues and festivals such as Motocultor 2010 (with bands like Madball or Koritni). The growing affluence and reception of the public to the energy developed by the group encouraged them to work on new projects. The Juggernauts is the new project of BORG (aka Peter Mastbooms, who is, among other things, a member of the live line up of The Klinik) and is mixed & co-produced by Glenn Keteleer. A name like The Juggernauts invokes images of power, of a massive force of bass and beats, of ground-shattering Electro-sounds. And it is needless to say that the debut EP “Phoenix” sees one of the most anticipated newcomers to the classic EBM-sound deliver the goods in spades! The Belgian band fuses the minimal, rhythm and bass driven structures of Electronic Body Music with a more aggressive and modern approach, to overwhelming results.
