The Hu - “Rumble of Thunder Tour 2023”

Forget everything you think you know about Metal: THE HU turn the genre on its head with influences from Mongolian culture and traditional instruments. In the summer of 2023, the band will be coming to Frankfurt, Hamburg, Munich and Dresden for four club shows on their “Rumble Of Thunder Tour”. Their “Hunnu Rock” was a sensation: THE HU showed that traditional instruments like the Mongolian horsehead fiddle, the Tsuur flute or the Tovshuur lute can sound damn heavy.

When THE HOOTERS first emerged on the Philadelphia music scene in 1980, they were taking over the East Coast at breakneck speed. Their unique mix of Ska, Reggae and Rock n Roll is what makes their fresh and powerful sound so successful. In 1983 they released their first independent album ‘Amore’, which included i.e., one of their biggest hits ‘All You Zombies’. As early as 1986, the band had four hit singles under their belt and toured almost continuously. Little known a year ago, the band now shares the stage with the likes of U2, THE POLICE, BRYAN ADAMS, LOU REED and PETER GABRIEL. In 1987, THE HOOTERS released ‘One Way Home’, which featured the famous hit ‘Johnny B’.

The German-Danish-Norwegian trio consisting of Kai Uwe Faust, Maria Franz and Christopher Juul transfers historically transmitted texts in the most diverse languages with archaic instruments from different cultures and subtle electronic influences into the modern age - “amplified history”, just like their own style describe. In order to bring them onto the stage, they are reinforced at their concerts by numerous warriors, who are also dressed in traditional robes. The Download Germany, planned for June 23rd and 24th at the Hockenheimring, will not take place this year. It is with regret that the organizer announced the cancellation of the festival recently. All tickets already purchased in advance will be automatically refunded by Ticketmaster in the next few days. The fans will be informed about this by e-mail. Until the very end, organizers tried to realize the festival for the fans of Download Germany. Despite the first-class line-up, the massive number of open-air events made organization and implementation considerably more difficult this summer. Unfortunately, the associated technical production obstacles proved to be insurmountable.
