Friday 10th September sees a special show by London's INERTIA at The Purple Turtle in London. The show will be marking the band's 18th year anniversary!! Also on the bill are the excellent MECHANICAL CABARET and brilliant Electro newcomers VILE ELECTRODES. Doors are at 7pm and INERTIA will be onstage at approx 9pm playing a full headline set. As part of the ongoing celebration of their 20th anniversary, Sweden’s OPETH is releasing live footage and audio from the band’s recent performance at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall. That social networks are not exclusively existing to do a soul strip in front of a million people should be clear by now with lots of talented bands surfacing from the depths of Myspace and Facebook. SLAG IN CULLET even got to a label deal with the help of web 2.0. An A&R manager of the English label Headroom Records heard them on the net and went to attend a show in their native and to offer the a deal. On 8th October now, the band will release the second single off their success album ‘Time to Explode’ that just like the other rousing songs on the album will send the listener through a rollercoaster ride of emotions and diversity. WORTMORD is the new band of former SODOM guitarist Peppi "Grave Violator“ Dominik. With ‘Wortgeburt’, the probably hardest and most authentic “German” album of the year. You got that right: WORTMORD add German lyrics to their mixture of hardcore, punk and metal. Comments Peppi: “German is the language I can express myself with the best. Also I’ve always been a fan of bands speaking their mind like SLIME.” SODOM Boss Tom Angelripper and KREATOR front man Mille Petrozza are featured on the album as well. Murderdolls
Joey Jordison is probably best known as the man behind the drummer’s mask of American bad guys of SLIPKNOT. But in 2002 he gathered lots of attention with the release of the first MURDERDOLLS album ‘Beyond The Valley Of The Murderdolls’. Another prominent member of the band is Horror Punk sensation WEDNESDAY 13 taking over the vocal duties. They quickly acquired a large fan base and since the release of their debut album are considered one of the most important representatives of horror punk.
