Sweden’s Thrash Metal act #1, THE HAUNTED, have just kicked off an intense string of touring this week as main support act for the almighty Slayer and have now also added two shows with Soulfly in Germany in June in support of their live DVD/CD “Road Kill”.The band comments:
"We are now 2 shows into the Slayer tour - and it totally rocks! We are being treated really great by Slayer and their crew, and our shows so far has been awesome. So now we can proudly present none other than the grand masters and initiators of grindcore, the mighty NAPALM DEATH:
It was seven long years ago that NAPALM DEATH laid SUMMER BREEZE to waste the last time. In 2010, the inventors of grindcore have lost none of their clout and inimitable aggression. Best proof is their latest album "Time Waits For No Slave', which is a right kick in the teeth for all younger contenders. With this band, there is only one thing you can do, whether you are part of the audience or a fellow musician: look up to them! It's nice to see that it is actually possible to exist in this genre for over 20 years without compromising one bit. Their success proves them right! Get ready for some immortal grindcore classics!

This week sees the release of “d’Olde Roop”, the debut full-length album from Blackened Folk Metallers MONDVOLLAND, on the Netherlands based Apollon Records label. The subject matter of the nine-track album, whose title means “The Old Call” in the Eastern Dutch dialect, deals with two distinct historical periods in the Hamaland, the central eastern region of Gelderland, which is where the band originates. Drawing inspiration from local stories and myths, the first period covers the early Middle Ages, when much of the local written folklore was destroyed by the Frankish kings who had, by this time, converted to Christianity.- ASHBURY HEIGHTS - Return with Take Cair Parlamour
