Dark, reflective and black: that’s a pretty good description of the music PARADISE LOST has been making for the last three decades, although this most resilient of British Metal bands has stoically refused to be pinned down to an easily defined formula. Fuelled by a lust for creativity and a devotion to haunting heaviness, PARADISE LOST have defied all odds and come back stronger than ever over the past decade.
PARADISE LOST formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire in 1988. With their early Death / Doom masterpiece ‘Gothic’ the band created their own sub-group. While other bands delivered faster and heavier riffs, PARADISE LOST conquered the metal underground scene with their slow and melodic riffs. Hardly any other band combines so many different styles in their band history - from the death metal beginnings to dark pop sounds on ‘Host’, electronic influences from ‘Symbol Of Life’ and majestic gothic moments. In early 2022, PARADISE LOST present their latest studio album ‘Obsidian’ in full form at The Warehouse, Leeds. This concert marks the start of a concert tour that will initially lead through the United Kingdom and will continue throughout the European continent in the spring and summer.
