Review Flash

Two years after the 'Intersections' album, Ralf Hubert's cult Progressive Metal band MEKONG DELTA are back with their 11th album titled 'In A Mirror Darkly'. In their new album MEKONG DELTA continues their lonely and difficult road with complex compositions mixing Thrash Metal, Heavy Metal and Classical Music. The result is as usual very good with some impressive parts. My favourite tracks are the up-tempo tracks ‘Hindsight Bias’, ‘The Armageddon Machine’ ,the slower track ‘The Sliver in Gods Eye’ and the instrumental track ‘Inside The Outside Of The Inside’. The production of the album could be better, especially the sound of the drums but this doesn't decrease the quality of the compositions.

Conclusion: Not their best album but one more quality album in their own unique style. I don't know if it will bring new fans to MEKONG DELTA but I hope because they deserve it.
