Review Flash

Just recently a friendly request over Instagram arrived in my inbox, asking me if I’d like to review some bands of the Brazilian Hell Yeah Music Company. Spoiler alert: I accepted. So here we are with DIE FOR A REASON from good old Brazil. This band was formed in 2017 and their sound can just be described as a complicated mix of Heavy Metal, Groove Metal and radio suitable more modern Alternative Rock. Some moments sound a bit like ALTER BRIDGE (‘Until the End’) and then the next song surprises you with shouting and double-bass (‘The Grave’). Edu Sumiya has an interesting and versatile voice and is the salt in the compositional soup (he also plays a fierce six-string) he is aided by Paulo Cortez on Bass and Moises de Souza on Drums. All in all, this is a well-balanced and very interesting debut and I think we will hear more of these guys in the next years.

Conclusion: Check out ‘Walking in a Dark Road’, an amazingly catchy metal ballad.
