Review Flash

The last sign of life of WARFIELD WITHIN was 13 years ago, in a time we all deemed better than the present day. I don’t know why these guys took so long but if my experience with other artists is any indicator I would say: Life happened. For any fan of PANZERKRIEG666: both bands share vocalist Daniel-Sebastian Meisen and Chris Neumann on guitars. The other direct connection between the two bands is their very brutal approach as to what the sound like. But enough with PANZERKRIEG666 for now. The German band WARFIELD WITHIN was formed in Mönchengladbach in 2005; it took five years until the first full-length was given to the scene. The Metal Archives say these guys play a mix between Thrash and Tech Death but that is not how I see the case, for Thrash this is way to brutal when it comes to the vocals. Technical? Yeah, no denying that one but it is mainly playing fast and hard without fucking it up and oh boy that drummer (Selim Karakoc) is worth every cent he gets. So, on top of neck-breaking velocity and overall roughness this is a well-executed piece of violence that takes you on a 34:12 minutes long ride into hell and back. Well done guys

Conclusion: If you have a hangover and don’t know how to shock yourself back into sweet sobriety: try the opener ‘Second Coming’ with a shot of deathpresso.
