Amon Amarth & Machine Head - “Vikings and Lionhearts” Tour 2022 - Support: The Halo Effect
In the middle of Oberhausen / Germany stands the Rudolf Weber Arena which had three well-known bands of Heavy Metal visiting that evening. The songs of the Swedish main act AMON AMARTH are about Vikings and their adventures. This was a double headliner show with US-Americans MACHINE HEAD as second headliner just playing before AMON AMARTH entered the stage. Swedish THE HALO EFFECT opened the evening.

Sum41 - “Does This Look All Killer No Filler” Tour - Special Guest: Simple Plan
SUM41 and SIMPLE PLAN provide a nostalgic journey for all 2000s Pop-Punk fans at the Rockhal. The two bands have already been touring the US together in 2022, and now reunited on the road in September and October in Europe. No wonder then, that the Rockhal was visited by several generations on Monday evening.

Suede - “Autofiction” Tour 2022
This spring I was lucky enough to attend a SUEDE concert in Berlin as part of the “25th Anniversary Tour” of their most successful album ‘Coming Up’. I could not imagine that I would see them so soon, and even in Hamburg. This time the London band has divided their set into two parts: In the first block, they play the new album ‘Autofiction’ in the order of the CD. The second part consisted of old hits. Nothing complicated - the dilemma is simple and effective.

What better way to brighten up a rainy Monday evening than with a concert by one of your favourite childhood bands? A long line of people in black lined up at the Markthalle for the sole purpose of seeing THE RASMUS live.

Deep Purple - “The Whoosh!” Tour
As part of their “Whoosh!” tour, the Hard Rock legend DEEP PURPLE from England performed at the Rockhal on Sunday. Quite a few fans of all generations found their way to Esch to witness this legend. The DEEP PURPLE performance was one of the concerts that had to be postponed several times because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Originally scheduled to take place in October 2020, the concert was then postponed to 2021, and was finally able to take place on the 9th of October 2022. The audience was really looking forward to it after waiting for so long!
