NCN is as always the last festival in the summer, then autumn begins. Every year in the beginning of September when the time for outdoor festivals is slowly coming to an end, this gem of a festival awakens in the romantic area of Kulturpark Deutzen (Cultural Park in Deutzen, close to Leipzig in Eastern Germany). Hidden from the outside by all the trees it is calling the visitors for a long weekend of music discoveries and celebrating old and new music projects.

Feuertal Festival 2019 with Haggefugg, Mr. Irish Bastard, Unzucht, Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen, Feuerschwanz, Subway to Sally
As every year, the Waldbühne Hardt in Wuppertal attracted numerous visitors from near and far to the Feuertal Festival 2019. Far away from the big events, around 2,000 visitors come here year after year to listen to mostly rock and medieval sounds. Moderator MajorVoice first opened the festival on Saturday afternoon with the official Feuertal anthem. The partly musical, partly comedic moderation with changing outfits pleased the visitors throughout the day.

W-Festival 2019 Day 4 with Je T’aime, Lavvi Ebbel, Peter Hook & The Light, Red Zebra, China Crisis, Jimmy Somerville, The Foreign Resort, Kowalski, Pink Turns Blue, Whispering Sons, Apoptygma Berzerk, New Model Army, And One, Fehlfarben, Astrasonic, State of the Union
There it was already, the last day of the festival. Even though we wanted to be up later than the past days, we were early at the venue. Strange thing that you cannot sleep. Must be adrenaline and joy. Of course there were coffee, chocolate and nice people already waiting for us. Sunday started with Wave from Denmark, THE FOREIGN RESORT, and ended with AND ONE’s fluffy Synth Pop.

W-Festival 2019 Day 3 with Schmutz, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Psyche, Rational Youth, Lene Lovich Band, The Human League, Sono, Portion Control, Tyske Ludder, Escape With Romeo, Mesh, Blutengel, Killing Joke, Nitzer Ebb, Definitivos, Little Nemo, Tiny Magnetic Pets, Then Comes Silence
It was late yesterday since VNV NATION entered the stage so late at night. And it would be late as well today since one of our favourite bands of the festival, NITZER EBB, would enter the stage not before 01:20 in the morning. But after the show we all were sure: it was well worth the wait. Early at the day, SONO were another highlight and as we learned the day before: it is always good to be up early for the first bands!
