Tito & Tarantula - “8 Arms to Hold You” Tour 2019
Born in Mexico and raised in the wilderness of Alaska as the son of a trapper, Tito Larriva’s career began in Los Angeles. After his debut as Hammy in the Peewee Herman Show (1981) he worked with Patrick Swayze (Roadhouse), Johnny Depp (Once Upon A Time in Mexico), Antonio Banderas (Desperados 2) and wrote music for over 50 movies (including the title songs for Machete and Machete Kills).

The Sisters Of Mercy & Support: A.A. Williams
It’s been a while since I saw THE SISTERS OF MERCY live and the gig had been sold-out for months when I arrived at the Tonhalle. The venue is known for being difficult coming to the sound and I hoped the sound engineer would know and avoid the traps of this venue. Since live guitarist Chris Catalyst announced that he would not join the band on the road this summer, I was curious how Dylan Smith would fit in. Everyone was dressed in black and the average age was mid-thirties to fifty, the venue was packed to the roof and it was incredibly hot.

The Rasmus - “Play Dead Letters” Tour 2019
It was a wet autumn evening when a predominantly female queue formed in front of the Rockhal. But the demographic distribution was very varied: from children to older couples everything was there on that Saturday night. The reason? The Finnish band THE RASMUS, who presented their latest album ‘Dark Matter’ live last year. Their career has been going on for 25 years now and that could be also a reason to celebrate, but the upcoming party had a different motto. 15 years ago ‘Dead Letters’ was released and this album gave THE RASMUS their international breakthrough, including the world hit ‘In The Shadows’.

Faderhead - “Asteria” album release show - Special guest: Scheuber
Almost two years after the release of his last album, ‘Night Physics’, FADERHEAD just released his newest album, ‘Asteria’, on 4th October 2019 which is more complex, dark, intense, emotional than ever before and at the same time full with dance-floor smashers as we appreciate them from mastermind Sami Mark Yahya. The release of ‘Asteria’ got a special treatment and so the release gig took place at the amazing Kulttempel in Oberhausen. I wish I would live closer, so I could visit that venue much more often. As the last full-time gig was over 1.5 years ago - in between FADERHEAD joined PROJECT PITCHFORK as support on their tour last autumn & winter and played a bunch of festivals like the Amphi & NCN Festival this summer - we all very craving a lot for it.

The Rasmus - “Play Dead Letters” Tour 2019 - Special guest: Eddie Stoilow
As if it was 2004 again and I just turned 15 - wait, or maybe it is? The album that brought THE RASMUS their popularity, ‘Dead Letters’, just turned 15 and how could a band celebrate such an anniversary better than with a whole tour and it couldn’t be a better start than in Hamburg on 30th September 2019.
