Machine Head - “Burn My Eyes” 25th anniversary tour
After the withdrawal of half the band and mixed reactions to the last album ‘Catharsis’ (2018) MACHINE HEAD are currently on a three-hour show tour in front of many full houses. First a new line-up fires out the greatest hits, then the original members of former times play the debut ‘Burn My Eyes’ on its 25th birthday. Seeed
The sad news of the death of the founding member and third frontman Demba Nabé alias Boundzound shook the band, their environment and their fans, and yet the band continued to work on their fifth album, the first since 2012, which finally appeared as ‘Bam Bam’ at the beginning of October 2019. The roots of New Romantic were formed due to members of the punk scene wanting to be part of a distinctive, creative fashion movement, but led by a different style of music.

After all those years of musical cooperation and friendship they managed to release a piece of art that is neither DIARY OF DREAMS nor DIORAMA, but instead a unique and ingenious journey through Dark Wave, Trip Hop and Minimal Electro, rich with fascinating facets, sometimes epic, sometimes minimalistic, and the amazing energy of both characteristic voices joined together.

The Sisters Of Mercy & Support: A.A. Williams
Just a few days after the show in Munich, we experienced another show of the current tour, this time in Cologne. Enough was written about both, THE SISTERS OF MERCY and the support act A. A. WILLIAMS, in the concert review about the gig in Munich. Therefore I limit myself here in the review about the gig in Cologne and only write about the performance of both bands.
