Nightwish - “Decades 2018” - Support: Beast in Black
I had booked a flight to Helsinki to see MUSTA PARAATI at Nosturi when I realized that NIGHTWISH would play the final gig of their “Decades” tour in Helsinki the day after. By that time Hartwall Arena was sold out, but I was lucky and found a seating ticket with excellent view. I took the train to Pasila and I have to say, the guys at HSL know how to get more than 12,000 people to the venue without any delay. Security check was pretty fast and there were nearly no waiting lines. Near the entrance to my seating area I found a cloak room, and left my warm winter coat there for I believed a T-Shirt and a hoodie would be sufficient (I would regret leaving my coat there later that night).

Icon Of Coil - Tour 2018 - Support: Telemark
It is 27th December, so the first day after Christmas and what would you like to do the most? Right! Let’s go to a gig of electro pioneers ICON OF COIL in the fabulous location MS Stubnitz (a historical museum and event ship!) in the harbour of Hamburg. Though I just came back from an extended tour of another Norwegian band (SEIGMEN), it was my pleasure to finish my concert year with another Norwegian “classic”: ICON OF COIL, supported by the Swedish project TELEMARK (you can also see both main characters play in the same band - COMBICHRIST).

Fewjar - “Gamma Aftermath” Tour 2018 - Support: Miirtek & Marti Fischer
It was a rainy and cold day when FEWJAR played at the FZW in Dortmund. There was only one security guy to check the bags what led to longer waiting times, but an a-capella group straying into the queue made the musical debut in the evening. We were even greeted personally by the organizer. Great gesture!

Merry Christless 2018 with Behemoth, Batushka, Bölzer, Imperator, Untervoid
The Merry Christless tour concert in Wroclaw was sold out long before the concert date. The most awaited event, the accumulation of Metal power, five shades of the most powerful music that can be, five fantastic shows and the massive dose of talent. We were given all that during the incredible concert that stands for, as Nergal (the frontman of BEHEMOTH) called it - a new, secular tradition on the map of Poland. It was the second edition of Merry Christless and, as I could see with my own eyes that it was close to beat the last year’s one. Hopefully the tradition lasts also in the next years. There were five bands in the line-up: UNTERVOID, IMPERATOR, BÖLZER, BATUSHKA and BEHEMOTH.
