Album Review
DAWN were founded in the early 1990s as being part of the uprising Swedish Death Metal scene, on later releases they changed their style more into the direction of melodic Black Metal. In 1999 the Band splits up, but in 2008 they make a reunion and are still active nowadays. Century Media now releases a compilation which features the three demos DAWN recorded before their first full Album in 1994. This compilation contains nine Death Metal smashers in the old-school Sweden way. The listener gets the guitars leads, growls that sound like coming from a tomb and a good feeling for good melodies. I think it is the perfect soundtrack to get images of darkness, frost and death into your mind or to bang the shit out of your head. That are the reasons why this type of music was created. A must have for all fans of early Sweden Death and all guys around who in generally like old-school Death Metal. For the die-hard collectors there is a limited Vinyl version, which maybe is sold out soon.
