Album Review

After two EPs and one LP, the four guys from Munich bring us their second long-player ‘...und wir vergessen was vor uns liegt’. In only two years of band history they created their own sound  trademark. You don`t have to compare MARATHONMANN with other bands because they sound like MARATHONMANN. The new album offers 12 new tracks to the listener. Melodic, melancholic and forward driving songs with personal lyrics which may touch the minds and hearts from a lot of people, because they are about essentials of life without being too trivialized like radio music often is. The voice of Michael Lettner is rough but not used in a fucked up street punk way, more the way of a good tough friend of your own. I like this album it is perfect to listen if you walk through the city, the park or hanging out in your room at home. Hopefully, MARATHONMANN will bring us other fine pieces of music in the future and keep their identity and integrity. For all who like emotional rock music with good lyrics.
