17th September 2006
Camouflage and Kolkhorst
In the evening of Sunday, 17th September we went to Osnabrück to attend a concert of the famous German Synth-pop act CAMOUFLAGE who's promoting their brand new album which was released three weeks ago. The concert took place in the "Rosenhof" - a pretty location in the downtown of Osnabrück which was a cinema in the past and has retained its charming ambiance like a nightclub from the 60ies. When we arrived at half past seven, only a few people were in the house, some more came later in the course of time but I think altogether only about 150 people were in the club whereby it was a familiar atmosphere at the concert.

Summer Breeze Day 2: Apostasy, Excrementory Grindfuckers, Leng Tch’e, The Ocean, Trail of Tears, Potentia Animi, Rebellion, One Man Army and the undead Quartet, Exilia, Turisas, Amorphis, Heaven Shall Burn, Liv Kristine, Lacrimosa, Deathstars
The second day began with rain – not again! Fortunately the showers were still empty, clean and warm. So I was prepared for a day filled with metal music. The line-up was very straight and there were only 5 minutes between the concerts, so I needed a coffee first.

M’era Luna Day 2: Mona Mur feat St. Claire, Solitary Experiments, Elane, XPQ-21, Clan of Xymox, Soman, Epica, Spetsnaz, Letzte Instanz, Rotersand, The Birthday Massacre, In strict Confidence, Apoptygma Berzerk, Terminal Choice, Ministry, De/Vision, In Extremo, ASP, Within Temptation
The second festival day presented a perfect weather. After the night in the hotel – yeah, I guess we’re too old for camping – we showed up at the festival area just about 20 minutes before the first band entered the stage. That meant just enough time to have a short chat with some friends and some breakfast. While the first festival day was the day of the electro heroes on the main stage, the second day belonged more to the gothic, metal and medieval genre. Besides the main stage, the hanger was in the hand of all the electro freaks who had their dance party there which just started with ‘Solitary Experiments’ and showed a quite full hangar at the very beginning of the day. http://www.meraluna.de/

Taubertal Festival Day 2: Spitting Off Tall Buildings, Christina Stürmer and band, Boozed, La Vela Puerca, Eat the Gun, Donots, ASP, Turbonegro, Schandmaul
The second day of the festival began with rain. Knowing that the festival ground is set on a beautiful meadow we expected some problems. This was proofed to be true. Reaching the meadow we saw mud, lots of mud. The special guiding tour with the organizers and the German Nature Office started quickly past midday. With many interesting details they summarized the history of the “Sounds for nature”-project and the part of the Taubertal Festival in it. Although the meadow is used for this festival it is still a part of the FFH-areas. These are special areas, which are protected to keep the nature. We got to know many facts about the organisation of the festival, i.e. how to get electricity in a meadow deep in a valley. It was the first time we saw something like that on a festival.
