Communic, Scar Symmetry
For many years now, the Rockfabrik in Ludwigsburg has been a meeting place for Metal heads in the Southwest of Germany; with a diversified programme and little, but nice concert events it is always worth to spend a night there. This Wednesday evening I looked forward to the Swedish guys from SCAR SYMMETRY, whom I had already seen on the Summer Breeze Festival this year; the evenings second act was to be the Norwegian band COMMUNIC, of which, I must admit, I had never heard before this event. When I arrived at the venue, about one hundred people had gathered in the small Club 2 on the buildings second floor; I could also spot a Nuclear Blast promotion stand. There was enough time to look around and get a drink before Christian Älvestam and his band mates entered the stage. http://www.rockfabrik-ludwigsburg.de/.

Alternative Mix Tour: Digital Factor, Desdemona, Greyhound, NUN
Alternative Mix Tour organized by Na Rzekach Art took place in Poznan in the spatial and stylish club Blue Note. Though the line-up seemed to be highly attractive, the number of audience was rather depressing. However, the main reason we came to the festival - the bands NUN, Greyhound, Desdemona and Digital Factor - didn't disappoint our expectations and did very fine.

Live Music Hall, Cologne, Germany
24th October 2006
ASP & Dope Stars Inc.
On a dark rainy autumn-evening we went to Cologne to visit some kind of shooting star of German gothic scene - ASP. Already on arrival, outside the venue we could note that not much people are in the house because normally it's very difficult to find a parking place close to the Live Music Hall. But this time it was easy to do and really the venue was only half filled. May be it was due to the ice hockey game of a famous local team at the same time or an other reason could be that ASP should also play three days later on Friday evening in close-by Bochum. Anyway, just in time at 8 o'clock the support act Dope Stars Inc. entered the stage to warm the audience up.

Burgnächte, Roßlau, Germany
22nd – 24th September 2006
Burgnächte Day 2: Reptyle, Splinter, Coinside, Age of Heaven, Funhouse, Stendal Blast, The Invincible Spirit, Inkubus Sukkubus, Zeraphine
The second day began with wonderful warm sunlight. Roßlau is set near to Dessau, which is known for the “Bauhaus” area in architecture. Dessau is a nice town. With its mixture of the little towns atmosphere and the morbid charm of not less empty and old houses it is worth a trip itself. We arrived at the castle when the first stalls were just opening and the musicians were still doing the sound-check. It was already dark when we arrived at the evening before so we just looked around the festival area. The camping ground was bigger than the last year, but there were less market stalls and the variety of food was also smaller.

Zeche Carl, Essen, Germany
19th October 2006
Clan of Xymox and Obscenity Trial
When arrived at "Zeche Carl", just a few people were waiting in the foyer of the location. "Zeche Carl" is a very charming nice location for little concerts and parties in an old converted coal-mine-building in Essen - the heart of the old German industrial area "Ruhrgebiet". Before the support band started, we just met Olaf Wollschläger and Andy Krüger (MELOTRON) at the venue. Olaf Wollschläger is the producer of the support act Obscenity Trial and is producing Melotron - a famous German Synth-pop-band - too. We took the chance to ask Andy Krüger, the singer of Melotro" about the progress of producing their new album and he told us that it succeeds so we can look forward to a new Melotron album in next year. By and by the location filled up and just in time Obscenity Trial started.
