Schattenreich-Stage, Bochum, Germany
13th and 16th July 2006
Saturday, 15th July: Eisheilig, Jesus on Extasy, XPQ-21, Melotron
From 13th to 16th it was time again for Europe’s biggest music festival in the heart of the Ruhr district: “Bochum Total”. Four days provided magnificent live music through all genres – with free admission! National acts met international ones; newcomer met top-acts. The festival area was as always located in the famous “Bermuda-triangle” where you can find more than 40 pubs and restaurants to party until late night. About 900.000 people celebrated this 21st “Bochum Total” with about 70 bands on four stages. The weather seemed to love the festival too and provided four days of sun and blue sky. The date for next year’s festival is just set: 21st to 24th June 2007.

IAMX, Götterdämmerung, 3 Cold Men
By the time the doors of the venue opened there were just a few people waiting at the doors. Did everybody just forget to drop by or didn't people know about tonight's headliner? With IAMX announced on the venue's website as a band you have to see live before they become too big for smaller venues, the total amount of visitors made one thing clear. The whole scene excluding those 60 present sure missed something.

WGT Day 2: Anubiz, Limbogott, Lacrimas Profundere, Imperative Reaction, Necro Facility, Destroid, [:SITD:], Cat Rapes Dog, VNV Nation, Vive la Fete, Sono
As beautiful as the weather was at the first festival day, as rainy it was at the second. Luckily we planned only indoor gigs for that day and after meeting friends in the city of Leipzig our way led us to a new festival venue – the Kohlrabizirkus which is an old market hall and a very nice venue in our opinion. http://www.wave-gotik-treffen.de/

Howard Jones
It was in 1983 when Howard Jones released his first single ‘New Song’ in the UK. The expectation was that it might sell a few thousand copies and introduce his fresh new music to an unsuspecting world. The reality was quite different. The single steadily climbed the UK chart to peak at No. 3. Then came the second single ‘What Is Love?’ which reached No. 2 in the UK and the third single …the enigmatic ‘Hide and Seek’ which showed the spiritual side of Howard Jones’ writing. This was followed by the first album ‘Human’s Lib’ which came straight in at No. 1 in the UK in April 1984, eventually going platinum and which took the synthesizer and Howard to a new plateau. This success spread across the globe with ‘Human’s Lib’ going gold in USA, Japan, Germany, Italy and Australia.
