Interview withIsaac Howlett (vocals) from Empathy Test
EMPATHY TEST is slowly going back to life. With some new concerts scheduled in Germany, the UK, and Poland, they will finally give their fans a chance to meet during live shows. Even though the isolation pandemic time was particularly difficult for them - the Covid-19 struck while their career was getting its peak - they did not give up and managed to survive and, as I assume for the interview, strike with an even greater force. Isaac Howlett opens up about how hard it was to be deprived of the possibility to play gigs and how frustrating to be caught at a point when things were going smoothly and then just collapsed due to outer circumstances. A lesson they took and got stronger. About sorting the principles, fighting the odds and being strong despite feeling weak at times. Great, honest, important interview

Interview with Jan Dewulf from Mildreda
Named after a saint, MILDREDA is definitely not holy in the sonicscape it offers. Jan Dewulf, the author of the project, is following a fine tradition of catchy, danceable yet dark and disquieting electronics. Gaining a more refined, multi-layered effect through the years he is on the eve of new album release ‘I Was Never Really There’ and I must say after giving it a listen - it’s a great piece of work: punching and kicking on the one hand and reflexive and insightful on the other. Jan Dewulf talks about his new music but also development as an artist, patience and being a musical chameleon.

Interview withAlex Svenson (vocals, bass), Mattias Ruejas Jonson (guitars), Hugo Zombie (guitars) and Jonas Fransson (drums) from Then Comes Silence
Absolutely smashing Post Punk flame from Stockholm THEN COMES SILENCE just released a brilliant new single, ‘When You’re Gone’. It goes with a stunning video packed with symbols and thought-provoking traces. Brought to life in 2012 in Stockholm, the band has released numerous singles and four full albums so far, including the most recent, very well-received ‘Machine’ in 2020. Their music is an exquisite combination of soulful, touching lyrics and vibrant soundscapes - it’s a true gem amongst the new goth scene. Their new release as well as an ass-kicking show at Castle Party Festival gave me a perfect occasion to ask them a few questions. Not only about the new music, but also about a creative process, inspirations and live shows.

Interview with Nick Holmes (vocals) from Paradise Lost
It’s been a bit over a year that I had an Interview with Nick Holmes of PARADISE LOST and we were talking about ‘Obsidian’, this outstanding that was released in 2020. In November 2020 PARADISE LOST played a livestream concert that was recorded and will be released in July 2021. Time to catch up with PARADISE LOST and talk about what happened since our last interview and about plans for the future. I reached Nick via Skype at home and he seemed to have a really busy interview schedule, but didn’t lose his humour over it.
