Speaking about thrash metal from England, ONSLAUGHT is the first name that comes to mind of course. Their comeback "Kiling Peace" (2006) was a strong effort, with "Sounds Of Violence" (2011) the legendary band from Bristol even delivered a new classic of the genre. Almost impossible to keep this high level or even exceed from here - one should think... but the thrash veterans have managed the impossible and their new album "VI" (to be released on September 20th) will be proof of it.Therefore it's only logical that guitarrist Nige Rockett is euphoric as never before:

For the past 30 years the band has been a top box-office draw, consistently selling out arenas worldwide. October 18h 2013 sees them issue in Europe (October 21st in UK and 22nd in North America) an exciting new live release, “VIVA! Hysteria”, across multiple formats throughFrontiers Records.
Originally released on the 3rd August 1987, the “Hysteria” album took the already well establishedDef Leppard and catapulted the band into the stratosphere. The statistics are astounding: the album has sold in excess of 25 million copies and counting. Due to the incredible success of previous album “Pyromania” (released in 1983) and “Hysteria”, Def Leppard are one of only five groups who can claim two separate original 10 million plus selling albums in the US. The others are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and Van Halen.

The band that Josh Homme (Queens of The Stoneage) calls “probably the best band that’s ever existed” is back and in full swing: Truckfighters from Örebro, Sweden, are releasing its limited 10” vinyl EP “The Chairman” (also available as download) on October4th, once again via the band’s very own and highly regarded label Fuzzorama Records. The release is accompanied by an extended European tour, presenting the trio in its prime element: Live! After three solid albums, one full-length motion picture documentary DVD (the “Fuzzomentary”), various tours across Europe, Northern + Southern America, Australia, lasting for months (like the more recent Kvelertak Europe tour w/ Truckfighters as guests), the Nordic act is ready to take bigger challenges. With its label Fuzzorama now being worked at Berlin, Germany, based Odyssey Music Network (Label Services Division), the Swedes will release the EP as an appetizer for a full-length album to be released in early 2014.

Night Train Daydream is the debut album from brand new UK alt-psyche band Maths and the Moon. An after hours tale of confusion and anticipation; a tense midnight train ride starting out in strange surroundings before arriving in a colourful and brighter world. From the analogue drones of 'FFwd (Fly From Danger)', the melodic dreamhaze of 'It's Ok to be Afraid', to the upbeat motorik euphoria of 'Polychrome' Maths and the Moon's album Night Train Daydream provides a method to the madness when the sun goes down. Recorded and produced under their own steam in the isolated setting of the New Forest, Night Train Daydream begs you to bring out your fears, bring out your ghosts and come out to play. Maths and the Moon are a three-piece alternative rock band from the South coast of England consisting of Andy Fielder, Luke Taplin and Matt Hirst. The band formed in 2009 and performed their live debut alongside legendary Can frontman Damo Suzuki the following year.- Details
