One Night in Bochum - Art meets Classic meets Party - An exclusive DEPECHE MODE Event!
The works of Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn combine music and art in an impressive and unique way. For numerous musicians, amongst them international stars like Johnny Cash, Miles Davis and Tom Waits, he was way more than just a photographer. Corbijn accompanied bands like Joy Division, U2 and Depeche Mode for decades and he was taking big influence on their image building process. Besides album cover it’s also his music videos staying unforgotten - just remember A Question of Time, Strangelove, Behind the Wheel, Personal Jesus and many more. So, what could be more appropriate than combining music and large-sized black and white prints at the art museum Bochum?

To mark the 20th anniversary of AIDA Night of the Proms in Germany, the musical event once again presents an exclusive mix of international top artists. During this jubilee edition, the symphonic orchestra Il Novecento will accompany Morten Harket (the voice of A-HA), rising star Amy Macdonald, John Miles, the Berlin rock’n'roll band The Baseballs and the Japanese pianist Hiromi as classical soloist. The German tour starts on 29 November in Cologne and is staging 17 shows in 12 German cities. Tickets are available at www.eventim.de.

Next year the E-tropolis Festival will change its venue and therefore re-launch on 22nd February 2014 at the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Formerly located in Berlin, the festival continues its tradition of presenting finest electro-sound since 2010. Its broad variety masterfully captures the dark facets of electronic music, compressed into a massive live-spectacle. Following APOPTYGMA BERZERK, DIE KRUPPS, HOCICO, AESTHETIC PERFECTION, FADERHEAD, TYSKE LUDDER, CHROM, XOTOX and [X]-RX, who formed the first wave of artists, been confirmed for 2014, it is our pleasure to already announce the remaining six bands of the line-up, just today.

"Heads up" for fans of rough electronics: After Front Line Assembly gave Industrial Metal a potent upgrade with their last studio Album ‘Improvised Electronic Device’, its successor takes a whole new turn. Band Leader and industrial Icon Bill Leeb often said they would deliver a purely electronic Album in the vein of old FLA cult records as ‘Caustic Grip’ or ‘Tactical Neural Implant’. Now they are coming through with the promise.

Besides the Rock’n’Heim festival, we have another new rock festival this year: the X Rockfest, taking place on 18th August in Herford. Doors will open early at 10:00, the shows start at 11:00. The line-up is quite impressive and surely worth a trip for a metal fan from all over the country.
