New info from the Amphi promoters: The 8th Amphi Festival 2012 – „The Orkus Open Air" is over and what a gorgeous festival it was! On 21. & 22. July Germany´s most iconic Gothic cathedral – the Cologne Cathedral – peered yearning glimpses to the other side of the Rhine, in painful desire to join the dance, when once again, over 16.000 attendants from all over the world began to celebrate their subculture under perfect festival conditions.

Fields of the Nephilim
This name is bound to the traditional Gothic Rock, praised as a legend by the press and the fans alike. The FIELDS OF THE NEPHILIM have been founded by Carl McCoy in 1984; the original line-up consisted of vocalist Carl McCoy, saxophonist Gary Whisker, Tony Pettitt on bass, guitarist Paul Wright and drummer Andrew "Nod" Wright.

Royal Republic
The band came together in 2007 and advanced to a degree in an amount of time that is surprising. 2010 is the year for them to conquer audiences with their debut album, simply titled 'We Are The Royal'. Serj Tankian
The Lebanese-born Armenian-American singer, songwriter, poet, activist, and multi-instrumentalist TANKIAN is probably better known as the leading voice of the alternative metal band SYSTEM OF A DOWN with which he released five albums. In October 2007, he released his first solo album 'Elect the Dead' on which he plays most of the instruments himself. The idiosyncratic mixture had great impact in company with the expressionistic live performances he gave together with his band.
