Swedish AVATAR were formed under the name LOST SOUL in 2001 but soon renamed due to lack of interest of members beforehand. Over the years and taking part in quite a few talent shows contributed to growing their popularity. Once the first album ‘Thoughts About Tomorrow’ hit the shops in 2006 the balls started rolling and tours, more live shows followed, including two tours of Europe. But the big breakthrough just came after their second album ‘Schlacht’ got released in 2007.

Kim Wilde
Kim Wilde who is actually called Kimberly Smith, is a British singer who was the pop-icon of the 80s. In her career, she achieved a lot of success, as for example with her first single ‘Kids in America’ landing internationally in the Top Five of the charts. Her first album ‘Kim Wilde’ appearing in 1981 was up to now her most successful album in Germany and achieved position 1 of the charts. She was on tour with Michael Jackson several months, received some prices and in 2003, she interpreted the song ‘Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime’ successfully with Nena.

A little festival had its debut in 2009 that however had an impact on the press and with the line-up encompassing high-class acts such as KLANGSTABIL who brought their blend of sonic experimentalism and pop sensibilities to Rostock, or Daniel Myer’s DESTROID bringing an engaging set of dance floor compatible electronics, they were also sure of having the attention of many music fans. Motivated by the success of the debut, the organizers set a second issue of the festival for this year’s September, and sure as hell it’s going to draw a fair pack of dark creatures to the festival.

KORN started in 1993 and released their first album just one year later. Along with the following ‘Life is Peachy’ from 1996, it is a favourite among early KORN fans. The third instalment ‘Follow the Leader’ became their commercial breakthrough and was the beginning of a hard shift to rather easy digestible as many say. But all those who were criticizing the band for becoming too “mainstream” in the past could experience the surprise of their lives since ‘Korn III - Remember Who You Are’ is going back to the dark roots.
