KETTCAR, possibly the most important German-speaking band, is releasing their sixth studio album on the 5th of April 2024. It is called ‘Gute Laune ungerecht verteilt’ and is the long-awaited follow-up to ‘Ich vs. Wir’. It was produced by Simon Frontzek, Rudi Maier, Philipp Schwär and Philipp Steinke.
On ‘Gute Laune ungerecht verteilt’, KETTCAR paint the whole picture - both lyrically and musically. Harsh post-punk thunderstorms, acoustic, spoken word. Which style do you want? They’re all on here. The twelve songs tell stories of, on and about Bayreuth, hospital rooms, Rügen, the supermarket, the Enterprise and the Blue Lagoon. Sometimes with their fist in their pocket, sometimes with their heart in their throat. The first single ‘München’ was released on 19 January 2024 and presented KETTCAR from an unusually heavy side.
