Review Flash

It’s 1986. Gloriously pompous hair-metalrules the airwaves. EUROPE, BON JOVI, POISON and MÖTLEY CRÜE all try desperately to outdo one another in over the top outfits, stage shows, levels of sexism and hard living. Hairspray is killing the ozone layer, and we don’t care because we are young, and foolish and… wait. What’s this? It’s 2014 you say? Then why, oh why do we have to suffer Swedish chancers KILLER BEE trying to recreate, unsuccessfully on the whole it has to be said, something so firmly of its time. This horrible noise veers from late-period DIO and screeching tribute-band AC/DC, to murdering the power ballad once and for all, and believing at every turn that more is better, when actually much, much less would be highly preferable. What relevance this kind of tosh has today is anyone’s guess.

Conclusion: It’s 2014. Put your spandex on, backcomb your hair and go to a retro club to re-live the true classics from the past, but avoid this mess like the plague.
