Yup, this record of legendary progressive thrash band MEKONG DELTA was originally released in 1994, but it was only released on CD and never got a chance to grace your shelves in vinyl form. Golden Core / ZYX decided to change this and give this newly mastered version to the vinyl hungry metalheads among us. The mastering sounds awesome and managed to elevate songs like ‘Imagination’ to new heavy heights, the six-part ‘Suite for Group and Orchestra’ tracks too are even better now. If there was any doubt of the bands progressive ambitions you will think otherwise after over 20 minutes of orchestra-meets-thrash arrangements. This is a highlight for every headbanger that never heard of MEKONG DELTA, now is the time to check them out and buy all their stuff.
Conclusion: For fans of TOXIK, VOIVOD, VEKTOR and BLIND ILLUSION.
