Long Distance Calling, Sólstafir, Audrey Horne
It is about two years since the third, self-titled LONG DISTANCE CALLING album hit the stores. Also back then, the band invited for a record release concert in their home town. And they did the same this time for the release of their fourth long-player when the Münster based post-rockers invited fans to join them at the Sputnikhalle where already a long queue waited short past seven. The venue was completely sold-out and so it took a while until anyone finally had entered the venue where AUDREY HORNE started their set already short past 7:30.

Esben and the Witch & Thought Forms
With an icy wind and snow flurries curling in gusts around the twists and turns of former factory Rote Fabrik, it was almost as if Brighton trio ESBEN AND THE WITCH had somehow fixed the weather and set the scene to perfectly match their particular glacial sound. Some bands are simply not meant to be seen in a muddy field, in daylight, so this return to play live in Zurich on such a night must have put a wry smile on the collective faces of the band. If, indeed, smiles are allowed.

Bloc Party & The Joy Formidable
BLOC PARTY are back on tour. But there were not so many chances in Europe to see them live. In 2013, after two shows in Amsterdam, the Cologne date was the only one in Germany. At least you had the chance to see the band in November last year for a few dates when BLOC PARTY were presenting their new album i.e. in Hamburg or Munich. But there was no date in western Germany and so, there was nothing to wonder that this show in Cologne now was completely sold-out. As support, Welsh THE JOY FORMIDABLE were warming up the audience.
