Blackfield Festival Day 1: Austerity Complex, Feuerschwanz, Gothminister, Namnambulu, Saltatio Mortis, Schandmaul
The Blackfield Festival took place for the seventh time and nearly 6,000 people came to enjoy the music, the special atmosphere, were meeting old or making new friends and having altogether a great weekend. The venue is very extraordinary as it is an amphitheatre at the Rhine-Herne Canal. As it is typical for such a theatre the acoustic is of the same quality wherever you are sitting and from almost every seat you have a good view to the stage.

Wave Gotik Treffen 2014 Day 1: Heimataerde, Christian Death, The Eternal Afflict, The Fair Sex, Apoptygma Berzerk & White Lies
The first festival day for us mainly took place at the Agra area and the closely situated Pagan Village (Heidnisches Dorf). But before we enjoyed the concerts at the area, we had a short visit at Clara-Zerkin-Park and the Victorian picnic. There was something new at the picnic: the picnic area was separated by a red barrier tape where no photographs were allowed. The reason most likely was that many attendee dos the picnic felt more and more stalked by the photographers during past years. Anyway around that area you had the chance for some nice photo motifs. [Just visit our gallery].

Wave Gotik Treffen 2014 - General issues & visitor gallery
Already for the 23rd time, the yearly Wave Gotik Treffen was taking place in Leipzig and more than 20,000 people from all over the world – of course mainly dressed in black – followed the call. With about 21,000 people, as promoters announced, this year more people made their way to Leipzig than in the last year, making the WGT a gathering of like-minded people. Many of people travelling to Leipzig even refrained from paying 99 EUR for the festival ticket and used the festival to just meet other Gothic people from various countries.

Beastfest Festival with Huntress, Battlecross, Thy Art Is Murder, Miss May I, Coldrain, Suicide Silence, Crossfaith, Trivium
It is Tuesday after a long and hot Pentecost weekend, and the heat did not cool down until now. Metal-heads, who could not get enough of making party or who got still enough power for this event, floated into the Markthalle in Hamburg. This day, for the very first time, the Beastfest took place, the warm-up festival and little brother of the Elbriot festival taking place on 16th August. The concerts were alternately in the two rooms of the Markthalle. The beginning was at the MarX, the smaller of the two halls. The only sure about the time table was that the headliner TRIVIUM would play as the last band. Everything else was top secret and no one should know before on which stage which band was playing at which time.
